Join us in Yachats for the Wild Things Festival, a family-friendly event that celebrates the incredible biodiversity of the Oregon coast. Held on May 11th, this unique festival is a tribute to the wild flora and fauna that make our coastal region so special. Admission is Free 🙂

What to Expect:

  • Music and Entertainment: Enjoy live music and performances that will keep you entertained throughout the day. Featuring a performance from Your Song My Song and various talents throughout the day!
  • Educational and Interactive Booths and Workshops: Walk around and explore booths by many organizations, create art, learn, and participate in workshops where you can learn about local wildlife, conservation efforts, and how you can help protect our natural environment. Including the Elakha Alliance!
  • Guided Nature Walks: Explore the beauty of the Oregon coast with guided plant and animal walks, tide pool adventures, and more. Yachats has amazing spaces to explore and learn about so much more!
  • Viewing Stations: Get up close and personal with the wild inhabitants of our region through various viewing stations.
  • Crafts and Activities: Build your own bird and bee houses, create nature-inspired crafts, and join in on other fun activities.
  • Wild Plant Sale: Take home a piece of the wild with our plant sale featuring native species. Hosted by MidCoast Watersheds Council and Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District.
  • Parade of Wild Things: Dress up as your favorite wild creature and join the parade! Whether you’re a sea slug, a towering tree, or a playful otter, all are welcome to celebrate the wild side of life. Five, larger-than-life, animal puppets will join the parade of the Wild Things! Get ready to join in the fun!
