- 1/1/2021: Elakha Alliance funds third-party economic impact analysis to evaluate the costs/benefits of sea otter reintroduction on coastal communities, fisheries stakeholders, tourism industry and other ocean users.
- 12/29/2020: With input from the Elakha Alliance, Senator Merkley included language in the the Appropriations Bill of 2021 Fiscal Year, to direct the USFWS to study sea otter reintroduction throughout their U.S. Pacific range.
