Winter Waters Seafood Demos & Trivia Night x Buoy Beer Company

Free community event (get your free tickets)! Come enjoy an evening celebrating local seafare. We’ll have a marine touch tank, folks from the seafood industry presenting information, a shellfish shucking demo, seaweed cooking workshop AND ocean trivia! All while enjoying special menu items from the Buoy kitchen featuring local seaweed and seafare. Bring the whole family and stay for dinner
AGENDA:
- 5-6pm: Seafood Industry Meet + Mingle
- Winter Waters: with marine touch tank of different types of seaweed and ocean creatures
- Oregon Seaweed: information about farming Pacific Dulse in Oregon
- Seafood and Gender Equality: education about gender equality in the seafood industry
- Elakha Alliance: learn about this non-profit’s mission to create a thriving sea otter population and a robust and resilient marine ecosystem. Plus, they’ll have sea otter artwork!
- 6-7pm: Seafood and shellfish shucking demos, seaweed cooking (and tasting!) with North Coast Food Web.
- 7-8pm: Ocean, marine science, and seafood trivia hosted by Alanna Kieffer of Shifting Tides NW.
