SUMMARY:Sea Otter Awareness Week (SOAW)
DESCRIPTION:Annually\, throughout the last full week of September\, we celebrate sea otters during Sea Otter Awareness Week (Sept 20-26). We encourage zoological and educational institutions\, governmental agencies and communities to plan and undertake events that highlight sea otters. These activities include sharing stories\, disseminating science and generating media that inspire a deeper awareness of these unique marine mammals\, their ecological importance and the many challenges they face. \nSea Otter Awareness Week is organized and sponsored by Defenders of Wildlife\, Sea Otter Savvy\, California Department of Parks and Recreation\, the Elakha Alliance\, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. \nHere is a list of all the events held in Oregon: \n\nSept 9th – Sea Otter Pint Night Benefit at pFriem Family Brewers in Milwaukie\, OR\nSept 15th  – Sea Otter Drag Bingo Benefit at Breakside Brewery – Slabtown\, Portland\, OR\nSept 20th – Sea Otter Viewing Station at Oregon Zoo\, Portland\, OR\nSept 20th – Sea Otter Sip & Paint Night #1 at Fullerton Wines\, Portland\, OR\nSept 22nd – Float Down the Coast Livestream\, Virtual\nSept 22nd – Sea Otter Pint Night at Claim 52 Brewing\, Eugene\, OR\nSept 23rd – Sea Otter Sip & Paint Night #2 at Fullerton Wines\, Portland\, OR\nSept 24th – Sea Otter Bingo at Claim 52 Bayfront\, Newport\, OR\nSept 26th – Sea Otter Viewing Station at Oregon Coast Aquarium\, Newport\, OR\nSept 26th – Sea Otter Extravaganza at The Portland Aquarium\, Portland\, OR
